No, Connor didn't start chemo today.  The medicine isn't in yet.  We had hoped it would arrive over the weekend, but the pharmacy still hadn't received it today.  So, hopefully tomorrow.

Now, we're finding out the pharmacy may not be able to mix it after all.  Apparently, if they mix it, they have to charge us full price (which we're told is several thousand dollars) then we have to send in the claim forms and hope the insurance re-imburses us.  However, if they just give us the pill then insurance does pay for it, go figure????

So, they may have to teach us how to mix it.  Originally we were told there was some concern with us doing this since you have to wear special gloves, a special mask and it can't get on your skin.  So, pray that we will be able to find a solution tomorrow.

Until then, we're living every minute to the fullest.  Today, when we discovered we weren't starting the chemo and we didn't have to take Connor in to the doctor, we decided to make the most of it!  We had a BEAUTIFUL day today, 70 degree weather, crystal blue skies, and Mackenzie was out of school for a teacher work day.... Soooooo... we went to the zoo!!  We have a family pass that we haven't used in a while and we had a blast!!  We were just there for a few hours, but we loved every minute of it.

Through all of this, we have definitely learned to hug our kids a little tighter, tell them we love them a million times a day and truly enjoy each day God gives us together.
